Florida has too many excellent golf courses to list here, so this is just a taste of what's on offer

Champions Gate

Ideally located for golfers staying in the Abbey villa. Less than 5 minutes from the villa at Exit 58 on Interstate 4; the westbound expressway ramp takes you right to the Champions Gate main gate.

It's a unique Florida golf destination featuring two courses: The International and The National, designed by Greg Norman and the new headquarters of the David Leadbetter Golf Academy. The courses are very different, but both have wide fringes around the greens that give you a chance for that up-and-down par. The International Course is really an Australian-style links course, very much in the tradition of Royal Melbourne.

The National Course is more of a parkland-style course, with a rolling terrain unique in central Florida and lots of trees, similar to some of the great Pinehurst-area courses. They're both built on a very sandy soil which drains quickly and the greens are very true.

Southern Dune

Only 20 minutes from the Abbey villa this dramatic 7,200 yard hillside layout features 100 feet of elevation changes, high-lip bunkers and five sets of tees for golfers of all skill levels.
