External AreaTo the rear of the villa is a wetland conservation area which is protected from development and provides a home for Florida's wildlife as well as giving a high degree of privacy to the villa's occupants. The back of the villa looks over the conservation area towards the entrance to the community. The pool area faces out onto the wetland area.
A hidden security fence prevents alligators from approaching, but if you listen carefully you can sometimes hear them croaking from a safe distance! Construction of the Abbey villa was completed in December 2001 and the landscaping and planting was completed shortly afterwards. |

Sit out on the
balcony at the Abbey and watch the
wild life or just enjoy the view, protected from insects by the "bug cage"
which also encloses the pool area.
Take a well earned rest in the
heated jacuzzi. There's no better way to relax outside.
Even at night the temperature most of the year is warm enough to use the
Jacuzzi, which can also be heated independently of the
pool on those rare
occasions when the weather fails. A wonderful way to unwind after a hectic day
at the theme parks.
